Thiourea is an organic sulfur-containing compound, molecular formula CH4N2S, white and shiny crystal, bitter taste, density 1.41g/cm, melting point 176 ~ 178ºC. It breaks down when it’s hotter. Soluble in water, soluble in ethanol when heated, very little soluble in ether. Partial isomerization is performed during melting to form thiocyanurate specific ammonium. It is also used as vulcanization accelerator for rubber and flotation agent for metal minerals, etc. It is formed by the action of hydrogen sulfide with lime slurry to form calcium sulphide, and then with calcium cyanamide (group). Ammonium thiocyanate can also be fused to produce, or the cyanide and hydrogen sulfide produced by the action.
