Basic information:

It has high strength, toughness and outstanding hardenability and stability against overheating, but it has high sensitivity to white spots and temper brittleness. The weldability is poor, and it needs to be preheated at high temperature before welding, and stress should be removed after welding.

Laser cladding refers to the process method of placing the selected coating material on the surface of the coated substrate in different feeding methods to melt a thin layer on the surface of the substrate at the same time, and forming a surface coating with very low dilution after rapid solidification, and forming a metallurgical combination with the substrate to significantly improve the wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, oxidation resistance and electrical characteristics of the base surface. Compared with surfacing welding, spraying, electroplating and gas deposition, laser cladding has the characteristics of small dilution, dense structure, good combination of coating and matrix, many suitable cladding materials, and large changes in particle size and content, so the application prospect of laser cladding technology is very broad.
